The relocation and replacement of Caltrain’s train parking track, a critical step in facilitating the construction of a new grade separation, has reached substantial completion. This milestone was achieved, with crews finishing out punch list tasks and site restoration to wrap up the project.
The team successfully achieved final acceptance for a new crossing installation. The project included the installation of 133 cast-in-drilled-hole (CIDH) piles, each measuring 16 inches in diameter and 16 feet deep, to support a 14,000-square-foot CMU wall. In addition to the installation of 1,000 feet of track and a double switch point derail system.
This fast-paced project demanded precision and collaboration, and the team completed with exceptional execution. Congratulations to everyone involved for their outstanding work on this quick-turnaround job.
