About the Project

Stacy Witbeck is in the Preconstruction phase of FrontRunner 2X, a Progressive Design Build (PDB) project that will double track portions of the 89-mile-long commuter rail line from Ogden to Provo, Utah. This will include 21.5 miles of new double track adjacent to the existing operating tracks.

Stacy Witbeck played an integral role in the original construction of the FrontRunner alignment completing FrontRunner North in 2008, and FrontRunner South in 2012. Additionally, we have performed multiple On-Call contracts with UTA that included modifications and on-going maintenance to the operating system.

The scope is to implement 8 double track segments, and 1 track realignment segment. The construction includes large earthwork, MSE walls, drainage utilities, third-party utility relocations, structures, at grade crossings, system installation, and track construction.

FrontRunner 2X will increase the frequency of service, reducing wait times for passengers, as well as enhancing reliability through improved on-time performance for better connectivity to regional bus and light rail systems.
