Downtown Redmond Link Extension Breaks Ground!
In Redmond, WA, Sound Transit, King County, the City of Redmond, and our team celebrated the groundbreaking of the Downtown Redmond Link Extension (DRLE) Project. We were awarded this $729 million design-build contract over the summer and immediately hit the ground running. Stacy Witbeck with Kuney as our JV partner and Jacobs and LTK as our primary designers, is on schedule to submit the 30 percent design package before the first of the year and early work, including land, environmental, and archaeological surveying, geotechnical borings, and installation of test shafts are well underway to advance the design. We anticipate early construction to begin in July 2020.
