The Shiloh Equipment Maintenance Facility (EMF) is a 14-acre site nrear the end of the alignment for DART's new Silver Line alignment, which is set to open for public ridership late 2025 to early 2026. The line runs from Plano to DFW International Airport, and will feature a fleet of new, state-of-the-art vehicles which this facility will service. During service hours, five vehicles will operate, with three being cleaned and maintained at the facility. After service, the facility will have room to house all eight vehicles for cleaning and maintenance.
The project is currently progressing through the underground work phase. The wash building has been excavated and the foundations for the piers is underway. Approximately 80% of the yard has been cut to subgrade, and work on storm drain, sewer, fiber duct banks and electrical duct banks has begun. To balance the site, over 9,000 cubic yards of excess material have been hauled off. Additionally, Phase 1 of the H-pile wall has been successfully completed. The facility includes enclosed buildings for vehicle washing and maintenance, as well as a fuel dispensing station with a canopy and an underground storage tank.
