About the Project

This five-year task order-based contract is performed under the CM/GC contracting method. The work generally involves replacing worn turnouts, curved tracks, associated signal components, and crossing panels across TriMet’s light rail system. A significant task order was the replacement of rail across the Steel Bridge, a vertical lift bridge over the Willamette River, and structural repairs to the bridge under the trackway.

All work was performed during a month-long closure of the bridge. Work is performed under revenue service when possible, during non-revenue service hours, or coordinated shutdown windows of light rail service when necessary. Portland’s transportation system has a lot of history, and we are proud to be a part of constructing, rehabilitating, and maintaining the transit system since 1994.
